How to Maintain Your Dress Shoes

It is no secret that hunting for that “perfect” pair of shoes is a favorite hobby of millions of women. Shopping for shoes has been

an outing that women have planned entire weekends around. For many women, nothing quite compares to the excitement of wandering

into the shoe department. Some women have even been known to feel faint when unexpectedly happening upon just the right shade of

plum, labeled Aubergine Magic which they have been searching for the past three months.

Many women invest time, energy and a lot of money into buying shoes, and, because of this, it makes sense to know how to maintain

these prized possessions. In order to get the maximum amount of value for your shoes, these simple steps can help. Knowing how to

buy the “just right” dress shoe is a part of the process, but not all of it. If you care enough about how you look to put plenty of

time into shoe shopping, most likely you will also care about how these shoes will look after they have been broken in. Quality

brands such as BeautiFeel Shoes are a good example of the “just right” shoes that women search for and breathe a sigh of relief

when they find. Stylish, comfortable and affordable shoes are tough to locate, and maintaining these shoes should be at the

forefront of any women who has purchased a pair.

After choosing between all the beautiful styles, colors, and luxuriant, natural materials that are offered in the BeautiFeel Shoe

line, it is time to learn how to maintain these purchases. Keeping your dress shoes in peak condition will not only extend their

wear lives, but also keep them (and you) looking stylish and preserved as if new. There are a few simple rules to follow to help

keep your new BeautiFeel Shoes looking in tip top condition.

Breaking Them In

When wearing new shoes for the first time, it is always a good idea to choose an outing where you will not be in them for longer

than a few hours. Even the most expensive shoes will need a few wears to begin to conform to your specific foot dimensions. The

excellent and natural materials that are used in the BeautiFeel Shoe selections are a good example of the type of shoe that, as it

is worn, will conform to your foot and allow it to breathe and be cradled better with each consecutive wear. Breaking new shoes in

properly should be a priority; your feet will thank you for it.

Polishing

Depending on the type of material that the shoe is manufactured from, polishing will either be a factor or it will not. The quality

leather that BeautiFeel Shoes are made from will require some polishing to keep them looking their best. If a shiny look is

desired, there are gentle and environmental-friendly polishes that go on smoothly and can be buffed to a glossy shine. If the shoes

go too long between polishing, the leather will become dry looking. Most likely, many of the scratches or marks shoes accumulate

could have been polished if attended to earlier. If you are looking for a more subtle and softer sheen on your dress shoes, you

should apply a leather conditioner periodically that only requires it to be rubbed in and lightly buffed with a dry, clean cloth.

Heel/Sole Replacement

If you own quality shoes that still have some life left in them, but need new heels or soles, a trip to the “cobbler” is in order.

The latex soles that come on BeautiFeel Shoes can be replaced. If the leather wrapped heels are beginning to show signs of wearing

down, they can also be replaced. The best thing about a nice pair of superior dress shoes is that, with the proper upkeep and

maintenance, they will last well past the time that less expensive brands have given out.

For many women, their shoes are a prized possession. Dress shoes become an essential statement maker about their individual style.

This is an important bond that takes time and effort to develop. It should be encouraging to know that with proper maintenance,

quality shoes can remain wearable many years to come.

  1. Dress Shoes says:

I totally agree with you that shoes are a VERY “prized possession”, at least for me they are. I consider mine a collection. You just have to have the right shoes to go with what you’re wearing, this can amount to a lot of shoes (as in my case). Thank you for the dress shoes maintenance tips, i’ll make sure to give my collection another pass-over.
